Biography
Yew En Koen Pang is a Singaporean professional table tennis player born on May 8, 2002. Koen started playing table tennis at the age of 5 with the support of his family. He is the first Singaporean to reach world #1 in the ITTF Under-18 World Ranking. He is also the youngest table tennis player to win a gold medal in men’s singles event in South East Asian Games at just 17 years old.
Koen became part of Singapore’s national team and went on to represent the country at the 2019 Southeast Asian Games, which was held in the Philippines. In his SEA Games debut at just 17 years old, Koen won the gold medal in men’s singles by beating compatriot Clarence Chew in the final. He also won a silver medal in men’s doubles.
Koen won gold medals in men’s singles, mixed doubles, and doubles event at the 2025 South East Asian Games in Bangkok, Thailand.
