Cybershape table tennis blades are now exploding in popularity within the table tennis communities, thanks to Truls Moregard who is using a Stiga cybershape carbon blade?

What is the appeal of these blades? What are the advantages and disadvantages of using these blades compared to the more common circular pingpong blades?

I've seen a cybershape table tennis plade. It has a bigger surface area than the normal circular blade. So one of the obvious advantage of the cybershape blade is that it can add a little bit of efficiency because there is a more contact surface to it.
