Straight and flared are two of the most popular racket hand in table tennis. What are the advantages and disadvantages of using each type of racket handle?

Flared Handle
Advantage: Offer a more secure grip because of the design of the handle that widens towards the bottom.
Disadvantage: Its harder to switch grip from forehand to backhand or vice versa if you are a type of player that switches grip

Advantage: Its easier to switch grip from forehand to backhandÂ
Disadvantage: Handle tends to slip easier than the flare handle.Â
