Can someone explain the difference between vibration and reaction property in table tennis blades? They are  terms often found in Butterfly blades specifications and I guess in some other brands to some extent.

Vibration  is the property of table tennis blades that gives the user the "vibration feeling". It contributes to the overall control of the racket.

Reaction is the property of table tennis blades that measures the speed at which the pingpong ball bounce off the  surface of the racket. It contributes the overall speed and power of the racket.

Vibration - Control

Reaction - Power and Speed

This one is an excellent reference by Megaspin on vibration and reaction property.

In the big picture, you'll notice that carbon blades exhibit higher vibration and reaction properties compared to all-wood blades.

Higher vibration results in less control, whereas higher reaction properties indicate faster blade speeds.
