Is there a difference between a vertical and horizontal alignment in Long pimples rubber

I am not a pimples user but allergy to it. haha

Alam ko lang short and long pimps.  

Meron pala talaga vertically and horizontally aligned pimps.

Not an expert nabasa ko lang.

Horizonal pimples rubber generates spin while the vertical one generates more speed which is more suited for flat hitting.
