Nina Mittelham had an injury in the later sets of her game against North Korea PYON Song Gyong. Despite of the injury she was able to rally it a game 7 but ultimately lost. I got so much respect for her courage. There's nothing more disappointing than getting an injury in the biggest stage of table tennis competition. She was in tears. Hoping for her speedy recovery.

I felt sad for her Nina Mittelham. She was ahead 2-0 against Pyon Song Gyong of North Korea and then her lower back problems started to affect her game and lost 3-4
We will know tomorrow if Nina Mittelham plays. Germany's schedule game tomorrow against USA in Women team event will be at 4 PM Philippine time (10 AM in Paris France)
Nina Mittelham did not play against Team USA in Round 16 which means she still have the injury. The German table tennis team still won and they are through to the quarterfinals.

Nina Mittelham still did not play in the quarterfinals match against India. Despite not playing, the German table tennis team manage to win 3-1 and will face Japan in the semi-finals.
