Liu Guoliang and Wang Hao are probably two of the most passionate coaches on the Chinese table tennis team. They shout and cheer every time their players score. Coach Xiao Zhan, on the other hand, smiles, claps, and remains very relaxed.

During the Olympics match between Truls Moregard and Wang Chuqin, he remained calm even though Wang was clearly on the verge of losing.

Which trainer would you prefer to have by your side, a passionate coach like Liu Guoliang or a calm and relaxed one like Xiao Zhan

Good question. During training and development, I prefer a relaxed coaches as it would allow me to learn without pressure and build confidence. This would be especially useful in creative or long-term skill-building environments.

However, in big tournaments, I prefer a passionate coaches. Their energy and intensity could help me stay focused, overcome obstacles, and achieve higher performance in a competitive setting.
