After watching the final match of the China Smash 2024 between Lin Shidong and Ma Long last night, I believe Lin Shidong has a stronger backhand than Fan Zhendong. Both Lin Shidong and Fan Zhendong have great backhand flicks, but where Lin Shidong truly excels is in mid-to-long-range rallies, where his backhand counterattacks are the strongest we’ve seen in the sport.

I agree. It would be interesting to see Fan Zhendong vs Lin Shidong in big tournaments. It would be a battle of backhands.
I think Lin Shidong is already in his career where he is already a Tier 1 Chinese table tennis player in the same level as Wang Chuqin, Fan Zhendong, and Ma Long.
