I wanted to start a thread to list Filipino athletes who participated in Palarong Pambansa or Batang Pinoy who are now very successful professional athletes. This is not just limited to table tennis players, but encompasses all other sports.

Carlos Yulo would come down as the greatest Palarong Pambansa athlete of all time after his legendary Olympics performance bringing the Philippines 2 of the only 3 Olympics gold medals.

He was interviewed with Rappler Philippines. Carlos Yulo participated in Palarong Pambansa in Tacloban in 2009 where he lost. He again participated in Palarong Pambansa in May 20, 2011 in Zamboanga where he won.Â
