This must be an issue in the Philippines more than anywhere else!

With humidity of 90%+ you get wet from top to toe, including your palms. According to serve rules the ball must rest in the palm of the free hand when you serve.

How do you tackle this issue?

What do you do if you receive a serve and the ball is wet and slips on your bat and your opening loop end up in the net?

In the Philippines, we placed face towels underneath the table to keep our hands dry if needed. I know in most foreign countries, there are dedicated boxes to place towels usually near the umpire location but we don't have that so we just place them under the table.

If its just a casual table tennis game, the receiver we tell the server/opponent that the ball is wet as evidenced by a "wet footprint" on the rubber. During tournaments, we tell the umpire that that is the case.
