Tänk som Truls
Truls Moregardh is releasing a book entitled "Tänk som Truls"
Here's the English translation (via Google translate)
from his Truls Instagram page
"Some moments change everything.
For me it was Paris. Two Olympic silver medals – and suddenly the world looked at me with new eyes. People stopped me - congratulated me and asked questions:
“How dare you?” “How do you think?” “Can you learn to be mentally strong?”
I have tried to answer. But it is difficult to explain in a short conversation. So we wrote a book instead.
It is called Tänk som Truls and is about performing when it really matters. It is a book about thinking right. Having a plan and believing in it.
It is the book about my journey and the experiences I have gained along the way. This is a book for athletes, parents, leaders and for those of you who want to get a dose of the fairytale summer in Paris in a repeat.
I hope and believe that the book will inspire you.
If you want it signed by me – you can buy it via the link in my profile."

Nice. I wonder how much it would cost to ship the book to the Philippines. Seems like a great book.
franztikul1990,
Probably shipping is more expensive that the book itself lol. I believe that Truls book is more about inner skills rather than the technical one.
As of today (May 13, 2025), Truls' Tänk som Truls costs 239 Swedish Krona or around 1360 pesos
The book is written by David Lagercrantz, he has also written Zlatan Ibrahimovics biografy.
The book is written in Swedish, haven't read it myself.
If you want to learn table tennis there are likely much better tips and trixes on youtube. If you are a Truls fan and collector then sure.
EDIT: David Lagercrantz has written the pre-word accordign to Bokus. Authors are listed as Malte Möregård and Truls Möregård it seams. (Malte is Truls older brother, his coach and you might have seen him as Truls matchcoach during World Cup in Doha.)
Interesting!
I wish there were an English translation, and that Truls' book would be sold in National Bookstore or Fully Booked. But the chances of both happening are low.
Truls' achievement in the Olympics was truly remarkable.
If you were to rank the popularity of table tennis in Sweden as a national sport, would you say it’s in the top 5?
Truls seem to have an ability to perform at the best of his ability when it is most important. That seem to be the main topic of the book as well, the mental part of the game.
He lost in the olymic games vs Fan Zendong but he did reach the final in world cup in Houston when Truls was ranked 77(!) lowest ranked to ever reach a final in World Cup. That time he also lost against Fan so maybe Fan should write a book about his mental game as well. 😉
Table tennis is popular in Sweden but it is difficult to measure. When it comes to members in clubs, people competing in teams and so on it is not in the top 12 from what I can google. Soccer is nr 1 and then sports like Ice Hockey, Floorball and so on are popular. Horse riding and Golf also have lots of members but that is probably since you must be a member of a club to practice those and many seniors play golf.
But we have some prices where the people vote for the most popular athlete, the best performance of the year and so on and Truls won such an award after the Olympics. (Please note that the pole vaulter Armand 'Mondo' Duplantis also is a Swede and he tend to win a lot of those awards latelty). Waldner, Persson has won these prices also back in the days.
Cross country skiiers are often the most popular athletes in Sweden, even if the sport is very small globaly for obvious reasons and most people who go for a 10km ski tour on the weekend are not member of a club (as in Golf of Horse riding).
But all in all Table tennis is perhaps top 10 most popular sport in Sweden today. There has been a substantial boost after the Olympics, a Truls-effect if you so like.
