The National Academy of Sports (NAS) Act or Republic Act No. 11470 was signed into a law on June 9, 2020. It established the NAS academy as a premier educational institution for student-athletes with a specialized sports curriculum. One of the landmark measures principally authored and co-sponsored by Senator Pia Cayetano.
The student-athletes from these academy has been doing well in Palarong Pambansa and other local and international events.
