Why was the ITTF World Tour replaced with World Table Tennis (WTT)?

ITTF World Tour was replaced with WTT series to make it more commercialized (bigger prizes) and provide a structure "that clearly establishes a pathway for table tennis players to be able to progress through the sports and for fans to clearly understand"

I feel like they made it more confusing by replacing the World Tour with the WTT series. 😀Â

It’s only confusing because the WTT Series is relatively new. Just keep following it, and it will become clearer.
