Would you allow yourself to get trained with a trainer with no fundamentals?

Okay guys don't hate me on this.

This is just a philosophical question. 

Assuming you have a a prospective trainer with great communication and observatory skills. He have also the soft skills - very patient , understanding, and kind.

But have no fundamentals - don't have proper stroke, footwork all over the place, etc. He's probably no match for you too.

Would you allow him to train you?
