Felix Lebrun is only 17 years old and is now thru to the semi-finals in the Olympics to face Fan Zhendong. If he wins a medal (gold, silver, or bronze), is he the youngest player to do so?

In terms of who is the youngest table tennis player to win a medal at the Olympics for Men's Singles, its Felix Lebrun winning Bronze medals at age 17.

 

As to who is the youngest table tennis player to win a Gold Medal, its Yoo Nam Kyu and Liu Guoliang. They are both 20 years old when they won their gold medals.

 

Here are the ages of table tennis players when they won Gold Medal at the Olympics

 

1988 - Yoo Nam Kyu (20 years old)

1992 - Jan-Ove Waldner (27 years old)

1996 - Liu Guoliang (20 years old)

2000 - Kong Lingui (25 years old)

2004 -Ryu Sueng-min (22 years old)

2008 - Ma Lin (28 years old)

2012 - Zhang Jike (24 years old)

2016 - Ma Long (28 years old)

2020 - Ma Long (32 years old)
