Misal made a great performance during the SEA Olympic Qualifiers in Thailand. He failed short to qualify for the Olympics after losing to Izaack Quek (3-4) but beat topnotch Southeast Asian table tennis players including SEA GAMES silver medalist Nguyen Anh Tu

For people who missed watching tournament, I am compiling links to his games in the Olympic Qualifier:

Men's Single Group 3:

Misal vs Wong Qi Shen (4-1):

Misal vs Nguyen Anh Tu (4-1)

Misal vs Napat Thanmathikom (4-1)

Quarter Finals:

Misal vs Chong Javen (4-1)

Semi-Finals

Misal vs Izaac Quek (3-4)

Interesting player, never seen him before and clearly he must use long pips on BH. He twiddles A LOT and is super offensive with his inverted FH.

A bit to passive on BH serve returns and sometimes doesn't play the point to finish and get surprised when the opponent makes a successful return.

@inyagan He is an unconventional player and he has improved a lot since the last SEA games when he didn't stood a chance against these players.

He has the same playing style with Richard Gonzales but he has a lot more powerful forehand. He has a sneaky serve too (maybe illegal lol) . With his youth, he'll still have more upside to his game.

Yes very unconventional! That intense twiddling and offensive forehand.. he must be able to make many opponents look awful if they can't manage to break the 'code'. 😆

Yes, looks young and with great potential for further development still!
