I have tried a lot of brands - Joola, Nitakku , Butterfly, Donic . DHS DJ40+ WTT to me is the best. It got the best "feel" of all of them and also the most durable. Donic P40+ pingpong balls are also great but the "feel" wears off relatively fast as you use it in the long run.

Nittaku 3-Star Premium 40+ Ball is a pretty solid non-celluloid and plastic ball. It has a "great feel" same with DHS DJ40+ but based on experience it is more durable. Donic P40+ is also good. I had a mistake before of buying the red Donic pingpong ball which seems to be suited only for training purposes. But the blue one is pretty good from Donic.

I've tried Yinhe Ball H40+ and its good. It feels a little "heavier" to DHS but it has it got "great feel"

My top is shared between DHS DJ40+ and Stiga Perform 40+

I both like the feel of them and they are also the most used ball-brands in the tournaments I play.

Nittaku, even though I like the brand when it comes to bats and rubbers I find the balls hard.

Butterfly, same but their balls are to soft. Tons of feel but if you train with them you will perform worse if you compete with others and you likely will compete with another brand on your tournaments..

Donic haven't played that much with Donic balls.

I think it is a good thing to test play with different ball brands, play at different locations and so on. The grip on the tables differs, the floor differs, the light, wall color and so on. Its a good experience, not to mention it is fun and perhaps most important - if you play at a different location you will also play against a variety of other players you can learn from!

@inyagan

I can confirm that the ball most people prefer is the DHS DJ40+. However, the Donic P40+ and ABS HD are also popular because local distributors are based here in Cebu.

But its the DHS DJ40+ that has the most positive response here.
