🟨 Yellow Card

Purpose:
Used to warn a player or coach for unsportsmanlike behavior or certain rule violations.

Common Situations:

  • Intentionally delaying the game

  • Excessive protests or arguments with the referee

  • Violation of sportsmanship, shouting or using inappropriate language

Consequence:
A warning without an immediate penalty. If the behavior continues, it may escalate to a more serious penalty.

 


🟥 Red Card

Purpose:
Given as a more severe penalty, either after a yellow card warning or for serious violations.

Common Situations:

  • Verbally or physically attacking the opponent

  • Continued misconduct after a yellow card

Consequence:
The player may lose points or even the match, depending on the referee’s decision.
