Brace Yourself!

The Gold Medal match for Table Tennis Team Event at the Olympics is already set.

It is China vs Sweden at 9 PM Philippines Time (3 PM in Paris)

China's Line Up: Wang Chuqin, Fan Zhendong, Malong

Sweden's Line Up: Truls Moregardh, Kristian Karlsson, Anton Kallberg

It's Sweden's first Olympic medal match for the team event.

It's an interesting match up because while China is a highly favorite, Sweden has shown it can upset the higher seeded players and seeds.

We've already seen Truls Moregard  knock-off Wang Chuqin in Round 32 of the Men's Singles event.

Felix Lebrun said 'Sweden has 5% chance' and that is probably a bit optimistic.

If Ma Long is the weakest player in your team then you have a pretty strong team.. but let's enjoy high level table tennis!

@inyagan

It's harder to pull-off an upset if its a team play. The probability of having 3 Chinese table tennis players having a bad game at the same time is very low.

I like Truls Molegardh awkward style of playing because that is type of playing style that make upsets. The Swedish table tennis team chance is very low off but I hope they can make China sweat it out.
