Currently playing MIXED DOUBLE semi-finals, North Korea vs Hongkong. Overheard from the commentator that North Korea only participated in mixed doubles qualifications for the Olympics, which means they don't have entry for singles and team events? The country is interesting. 😖

No. I've seen other North Korean table tennis players in the Olympic schedule. One is Pyon Song Gong who will be playing Women's Singles in Round 32 later at 5 PM against Nina Mittelham of Germany.

Pyon Song Gong has been defeated in the quater-finals match by Hina Hayata.

I think that wraps up for North Korea. They only participated mixed doubles and women singles in Paris Olympics.

Mixed Doubles - Silver Medal  (RI Jong Sik/KIM Kum Yong)

Women Singles - Quarter Final (Pyon Song Gong)
