Biography
Lin Yun-Ju, nicknamed “The Silent Assassin”, is a professional table tennis player from Taiwan. He was born on August 17, 2001 in Yuanshan, Yilan County, Taiwan and attended Taipei Municipal Nei-Hu Vocational High School.
Lin started playing at the age of nine and became a member of the Taiwanese national team at only 14 years old. He has beaten some of the greatest players in table tennis history including Ma Long and Fan Zhendong.
He rose rapidly in 2019, winning major titles like the T2 Diamond Malaysia, Czech Open, and Oman Open, breaking into the top 10 world rankings.
At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics (held in 2021), he won bronze in mixed doubles with Cheng I-ching and finished an impressive 4th in men’s singles.
He added multiple doubles medals, including bronzes at World Championships and Asian events, plus strong team performances.
In the WTT era, he secured titles like WTT Contender Zagreb (2022) and WTT Champions Frankfurt (2023), along with doubles and mixed successes (e.g., mixed doubles at WTT Star Contender London 2025).
