The Donic Acuda S2 was my first rubber purchase with my own salary in 2012 (paired with the now-discontinued Donic Li Ping blade). A lot of players call it perfectly balanced, but personally, I rate it little higher for defense.
It provides excellent control and shines in punch blocks. On the offensive side, it's best suited for looping with decent power on loop drives/kills and smashes. The main drawback is edge durability—the perimeter damages easily. I was playing daily with it at some point and the rubber noticeably lost performance after just 1–2 months. Regular regluing every 2–3 weeks helped bring it back performance.
Even so, I'd still recommend the Acuda S2—it's affordable, fits my budget, and offers great value for the price.
