The UP WOMEN’S TABLE TENNIS VARSITY TEAM will be conducting an open screening, which will be followed by an open tryout!
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Incoming 1st year college this A.Y. 2025-2026.
- General weighted average of 85% or better.
IMPORTANT DATES:
- May 3, 2025 - Start of application
- May 14, 2025 - Deadline of application for open screening
- May 17, 2025 - On-ground tryouts

What does this mean? "- General weighted average of 85% or better."
I know nothing about the ranking / rating system in the Philippines..
It means only high school students that have general weighted average of 85% or better in their academic grade can only qualify for the varsity try-out.
As the #1 school in the country, the University of the Philippines has academic higher requirements even for sports.
