Palestinian Table Tennis Player Dies in Israel-Palestine conflict
Some unfortunate news showed up on my feed today. Saleh Al-Jafarawi, a Palestinian table tennis player who competed at the WTT Feeder Doha 2023, has passed away. He was also a journalist and activist.
He died in the ongoing war between Israel and Palestine.
Rest in peace, young man.
I hope the ongoing peace deal will be fully implemented, and that there will be no more violence.
It’s truly unfortunate that Saleh Al-Jafarawi didn’t make it to see the peace deal. I didn’t even expect a Palestinian national team to exist, considering how cruel the war has been.
I found his profile on the WTT website — he was 27 years old. There seem to be a no videos of him online playing table tennis.

Saleh Al-Jafarawi did joined WTT Feeder Doha 2023
WTT Feeder Doha 2023 took place on January 22–26, 2023, long before the October 7th Hamas massacre. That was when all hell broke loose.
I doubt Saleh Al-Jafarawi played after October 7th.
elmercasinog,
Thank you for finding and sharing the video. Saleh Al-Jafarawi looks a bit tense in this match-up, but you can clearly see his passion for the game—especially after scoring his first point.
By the way, what was Saleh Al-Jafarawi’s ranking in 2023?
