Are cybershape table tennis blades available only Stiga?
If you ask Stiga, it's patented and others can't offer the same.
Not sure if that is the case but Stiga has a pattern patent and the cypershape is indeed a pattern but I assume it is up for others to challenge it.
But as for now blades with this shape is only offered by Stiga.

Yeah I've been searching for "Butterfly cybershape blade" , "DHS cybershape blade", and so on but none would show up.Â

So I guess that cybershape blades are indeed "pattern patented".

I wonder how many cybershape blades they sold after Truls Moregardh's epic Olympic run. Must be a lot.Â
First time he used it he was 19 years old and made it to the final in the world championship, beating Timo Boll in the semi and lost (also then) against Fan.
The bat got lots of attention back then and he has used the shape ever since. Then of course he also has a sponsorship with Stiga so he is kind of stuck with this shape.
Though with that said, Truls is the only player in the top where we know what racket he plays with. All the other ones might have only the handle of the sponsor but the blade is something else.
So all those equipment discussions what bat the stars are playing with are kind of pointless. We simply do not know.
"All the other ones might have only the handle of the sponsor but the blade is something else."Â
Would you say this is the majority?
"So all those equipment discussions what bat the stars are playing with are kind of pointless."
I guess its no different with other sports where they have natural affinity for whatever their favorite players use (basketball shoes, energy drink, etc)
