Did you know that China is not a founding member of ITTF - the world governing body of the sports of table tennis. The founding members are Austria, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, England, Germany, Hungary, British India, Sweden, and Wales.
Yet, China has been dominating the sport since the late 1950s. This came after the late Chinese leader Mao Zedong declared table tennis a national sport in the 1950s.Â
