I happened to watch the Draw Ceremony of the ITTF Men’s & Women’s World Cup Macao 2026.
For the singles event, the players are divided into 16 groups with 3 players in each group. The players in each group will against each other on Round Robin format and on a best of five games.
Only one player will proceed to the next round which is a direct knockout draw. Therefore, there will be 16 players on the main knockout system. They will play best of seven matches.
